Parker RHR Duofold Jr
Parker RHR Duofold Jr
History of Duofolds known as "Black Tipped Jades". Through 1925, the Black and Orange Duofold's sold very well. With new plastic technology that allowed for colors, Parker needed to stay in the game. The theory is that they didn't want to commit the successful "Duofold" name to a new color until it was test marketed. They marketed their new green plastic pen as the "Black Tipped Jade" for maybe a year. The B.T. Jade pens are Duofold's in every way except for the barrel imprint. These are 2 u.s. examples of the imprint. Although not photographed, we also have very darkened somewhat sad looking example of a Canadian B.T. Jade Sr with a 3rd example of the B.T. Jade imprint.
